June 2024 Quarterly Meeting

Our first in-person Quarterly meeting of the year, hosted at Malcolm X College, is open to any and all stakeholders who are invested in building a more inclusive healthcare workforce in Chicagoland.

AGENDA

  • Updates on CHWC programs and initiatives
  • Introduction of a collaborative grant project between Chicagoland Workforce Funder Alliance, Malcolm X College, and CHWC that allows us to build a data-driven pilot project to increase men of color participation in healthcare career pathways
  • Introduction of Women Employed’s research project titled, “Lifting Up Best Practices and Systems-Barriers Around Healthcare Careers and Economic Mobility”, which includes taking a deeper dive into the data CHWC collected for our research with WORC on frontline workers’ perceptions of their opportunities to advance
  • The opportunity to network with colleagues in similar roles at different organizations, and discuss how we might work together to ensure that more people are able to reach wealth-building roles in healthcare
