Chicagoland Respiratory Therapy Workforce Collab: Progress Review & Strategic Working Session

The Chicagoland Respiratory Therapy Workforce Collaborative was formed to address the region’s shortage of respiratory therapists by bringing together hospital leaders, educators, and other stakeholders to discuss shared challenges, learn from one another, and collaborate in new ways. One year after the Chicagoland Respiratory Therapy Workforce Summit, RT leaders from across the region will reconvene to review progress, share lessons learned, and identify priorities for the year ahead.

Join respiratory therapy leaders, educators, and workforce partners from across Chicagoland for a half-day working session focused on advancing solutions to the region’s respiratory therapist shortage. The event will feature:

  • Progress updates from each Collaborative working group, including RT Autonomy, Training Quality & Capacity, Job Quality, and Student Outreach & Support
  • Discussion and planning around a potential regional RT Skills Day and other emerging initiatives
  • Interactive breakout sessions where participants can help shape and advance working group projects
  • Peer networking opportunities during breakfast and lunch to strengthen relationships and share ideas

Whether you participated in the original summit or are joining the effort more recently, this working session is an opportunity to contribute your expertise, connect with fellow leaders, and help build a stronger respiratory therapy workforce for Chicagoland.
