Frequently Asked Questions

The Collaborative follows the industry workforce partnership model. As training providers, educators, and employers meet and discuss issues influencing the industry, The Collaborative drives the conversation around equity and employment which is in interest to all.

Unlike job developers, The Collaborative does not have the transactional pressure of forced speaking engagements or job opening requirements. The purpose is to have a no-pressure inclusive environment where individuals from recognized healthcare organizations can join an action team to take charge against systemic issues together across the healthcare ecosystem.

We aim to unite employers and industry partners to support an inclusive healthcare workforce, provide accessibility for unemployed and underemployed populations, and develop innovative responses to the evolving needs of the healthcare industry.

We facilitated a process that brought together an array of stakeholders, particularly focused on healthcare employers and their Human Resource departments. Through this process, over 30 workforce trends and topics were selected, each of which were further studied, classified, and categorized which allowed us to develop the three main focus areas we have today.

It’s important to note that everything we have is meant to build on itself. As trends change and goals shift, we have the malleability to become even more visionary in order to best serve the Chicagoland healthcare workforce.

We invite you to join the action team that most closely aligns with your goals and passion! You may join more than one.
