The Local & Targeted Hiring Action Team ensures that those seeking employment have the capability, but more importantly the opportunity to enter the healthcare industry – which often times does not even seem like a possibility.
This team aims to work with training providers and healthcare employers to focus recruitment efforts in areas with higher concentrations of unemployment and which so often include people at a disadvantage, whether that is due to individual circumstance, systemic issues or both. Through these efforts the team aims to knock down barriers and bridge connections that will lead to dream careers and, ultimately, a truly inclusive workforce.
Fair and just hiring policies for all across the healthcare workforce is critical. Working alongside one another to ensure prospective candidates receive the opportunities they have rightfully earned, regardless of their past or even their current challenges, is the sole goal of the Local & Targeted Hiring Action Team and will make a heavy positive impact that is sure to echo through generations.
